We Machine Metals

May 6, 2016

To start off the word METALS can encompass a large variety of materials. Simple carbon steel is the most common of metals, however we work with ALL metals. Aluminum, Stainless, Copper, Brass, Super Alloys, Cast iron, Manganese, Inconel, Hastelloy, Stellite, and the list goes on.

If it’s a type of metal, we machine it.

We often hear that customers are surprised to hear how large, and small of parts we manufacture and how many or few of them we work with. Yes we will make you one single very small part! Yes we will make you 10,000 of them! Yes we can handle parts that large! We don’t discriminate about size, shape, or quantity.

Then it’s often a surprise when people find out our capabilities. Many think of Craftco as the local job shop that has a few manual and simple machine. We do have that, and we also have awesome capabilities with CNC machines. We have simple 2 axis lathes, ranging to 5 axis lathes with milling capabilities. We have basic manual milling machines and we have 4 axis CNC milling machines. Regardless of part complexity, we have the machines to take on the challenge.

Finally, when we give tours through the shop, people are impressed and surprised with our manufacturing process. Anyone who knows about machining, knows that it’s all about quality and consistency. We have a specialized manufacturing software to track and record our process from customer quotes, through the manufacturing process, on to shipping and invoicing, and anything and everything in between. It’s essential to what we do. So with that being said…….What is it that we do? We Machine Metals!
